We are looking for eager individuals with a solid work history who want to grow with a company. Phoenix Direct has openings for Full Time Warehouse Associates on our 1st and Mid Shifts in our climate – controlled distribution center.

Starting rate: $15.50 per hour

* 1st Shift: Monday-Friday (5:00am-1:30pm)

* Mid-Shift: Monday-Friday (10:00am-6:30pm)

Overtime may be requested or required

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Under the general direction of the Distribution Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock (predominantly apparel), picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders and other various duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.
• Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years previous warehouse experience PREFERRED
• SOLID AND CONSISTENT WORK HISTORY IS REQUIRED
• EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE IS CRITICAL, RELIABLE ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Detailed and focused
• Ability to learn how to use the RF (radio frequency) gun
• Ability to use a pallet jack
• Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment
• Flexible and self-motivated
