The Role
The Website Designers' primary role will be to assist in supporting modern, responsive, and functional automotive websites and digital graphics. Working with other senior experienced technical and sales professionals, this role contributes by delivering visual comps, prototypes, uploading/testing on our proprietary platform.
This candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate clearly and effectively. The right candidate is a resourceful multi-tasker who loves designing digital graphics that are functionally and visually appealing. This is a full-time, virtual position that works alongside a team of designers, developers, and project managers.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
Produces digital website graphics for franchise and independent dealerships
Produces website graphics for New Accounts build team
Maintains compliance standards according to franchise branding specifications
Prepares files and assets for website support and digital marketing requests
Collaborates with internal and external clients and vendors
Monitors and manages Salesforce.com case activities
Completes miscellaneous activities as needed
Primary Objectives:
Produces high-quality creative designs for responsive websites and digital marketing
Provides exceptional customer service for external and internal clients
Supports Operation’s Production team’s goals of efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
Specific Responsibilities of the Job:
Produces original Website Graphics for Franchise and Independent Dealers
Produces digital graphics for website templates for Sales and Build team use
Reviews and utilizes branding guidelines for franchise-based websites
Designs graphics for independent dealer websites
Maintain and update existing themes with current model year images
Performs proofing and quality control checks on all components, including review for correct content, spelling, grammar, format, and requested changes
Produces graphic design Website Support for all live websites
Uploads, and/or manages assets including vehicle images, logos, advertising, video editing, etc. per franchise branding guidelines
Adheres to U.S. Copyright Laws and compliance standards when creating digital images
Applies designated naming conventions, file formatting, corporate branding, and co-op guidelines to components, where applicable
Performs proofing and quality control checks on all components, including review for correct content, spelling, grammar, format, and requested changes
Prepares files and assets for Implementation for Websites and SEM
Creates new or refines existing dealership logos for website use
Supports website build process for graphics by meeting quality and load time requirements
Stores completed component and project files as required by departmental SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
Performs pre-implementation activities prior to delivery of files for new and existing websites
Collaborates with internal and external clients and vendors
Provides direction and/or information to dealers submitting client-supplied artwork for production
Communicates design layouts with all clients or vendors involved to insure application compatibility
Works with internal and external resources to resolve production spec and formatting issues
Monitors and manages Salesforce.com case activities
Manages case workload using Salesforce.com Case Grid
Takes timely action to investigate and resolve case-related issues
Resolves cases within published service level agreement (SLA)
Provides regular updates on case status using Chatter
Elevates ongoing issues to manager
Completes miscellaneous activities
Creates and maintains standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation for specific jobs, programs or accounts supported
Supports testing of new systems, platform updates, products, or programs
Leads and/or participates in team cross-training
What You will Bring
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Degree or equivalent experience: AA or AAS in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts or Web Development; BA/BS/BFA preferred
In lieu of degree, a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the digital marketing industry, ad agency, email, or website graphics environment, with a strong focus on digital graphic design
Excellent understanding of design principles and branding standards applied to digital graphics
- Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro)
- Strong organizational skills for specific file types and asset management
- Experience in HTML/CSS and responsive website designs a bonus
General knowledge of SEO (Seach Engine Optimization) and SEM campaign design
Experience in mobile phone/tablet application design
Broad experience with network file organization and group workflow processes
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume organization
Ability to quickly learn innovative technologies and website platforms
Knowledge of the automotive industry is helpful
Other Required:
Ability to sit for multiple hours at a time and to work multiple hours a day at a computer keyboard
Ability to remain alert and focused during the workday
