The Wholesale Carrier Account Manager is responsible for driving business growth within the wholesale telecommunications market by managing carrier relationships and service delivery.

Job Summary:
The Wholesale Carrier Account Manager at DQE is responsible for managing relationships with wholesale carrier partners and driving business growth in the wholesale telecommunications market. This role involves overseeing the supply and demand of telecommunications services between the company and its wholesale partners, negotiating contracts, optimizing pricing strategies, managing service delivery, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with wholesale carrier partners.
- Act as the main point of contact for all wholesale carrier inquiries, support requests, and business dealings.
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service delivery to wholesale customers and resolving any issues promptly.
- Ensure that all contractual terms and service level agreements (SLAs) are met by both parties.
- Identify opportunities to expand business with current wholesale carrier partners and attract new wholesale clients.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase the volume of traffic, revenue, and services provided through wholesale relationships.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to create competitive pricing models and product offerings for wholesale customers.
- Lead the negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements with wholesale carriers.
- Ensure all agreements and contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review and renew contracts to maximize profitability, while maintaining favorable terms for both the company and the carrier partners.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure profitability targets are met and pricing strategies are adhered to.
- Provide regular performance reports to both internal stakeholders and wholesale carriers, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are tracked and exceeded.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on account performance, market trends, sales forecasts, and profitability.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in negotiating contracts, pricing, and service agreements in a wholesale environment is essential.
- Proficiency with presentation tools, CRM systems and spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Results oriented with a proven track record of managing and growing wholesale carrier relationships and achieving revenue targets
- Ability to travel as required to visit clients, prospective clients or industry tradeshows and networking events.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in telecommunications, account management, or project management are a plus.
- 5-8 years successful sales experience in the telecom industry.
- Strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry and terminology.
