Job Type: Part-Time to Full-Time
Salary: $22–$28 per hour plus bonus eligibility

Position Overview: United Wound Care Centers of Illinois Valley is seeking a motivated and experienced Wound Care Coordinator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Medical or Pharmaceutical Sales with experience building and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers. This role plays a critical part in growing referrals for our wound care services, which treat chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, and other non-healing wounds. You will directly contribute to saving lives and improving the quality of life for patients in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing/Outreach:
- Achieve sales targets and exceed revenue goals through proactive relationship-building.
- Conduct market research to identify new referral opportunities and growth areas.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers such as:
- Home Health Care Agencies
- Primary Care Providers
- Podiatrists
- Dermatologists
- Urgent Care/ER Centers
- Other relevant providers
- Conduct in-person visits, lunches, coffee meetings, and other outreach activities to promote services.
- Document responses and outcomes from meetings and follow-up as needed.
- Vendor and Provider Relationships:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendor representatives and providers.
- Coordinate product training and updates on new products, coverage changes, and reimbursement processes.
- Ensure effective provider support, including coordinating supplies, inventory, and staffing for procedures.
- Insurance & Patient Coverage:
- Secure patient coverage details and ensure accuracy in coverage plans and verification of benefits.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and assist in resolving any coverage or billing issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, including the completion of codes and claims.
- Wound Care Management & Coordination:
- Plan and manage monthly meetings, setting agendas and tracking action items.
- Coordinate marketing efforts and manage wound care trackers for updates and reviews.
- Assist with in-office coordination and scheduling, including support for complex cases that require additional hands.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Maintain thorough records, including patient health histories, reports, lab work, and communication with referral sources.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, insurance coverage, and treatment updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Medical or Pharmaceutical Sales, preferably with a network of healthcare provider connections.
- Strong knowledge of medical products, wound care, and the healthcare industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in B2B sales, medical office operations, or healthcare marketing is preferred.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Flexible schedule (20-40 hours per week depending on availability)
Work Environment:
- Primarily field-based with travel across the Illinois Valley and I-80/I-39 corridor to meet with healthcare providers and referral sources.
- Local office support available in LaSalle/Peru.
