SHORT DESCRIPTION
Manage writer network and content production at GR0, ensuring quality and efficiency in branding, project management, and social media strategy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of GR0’s writer network, including supporting the writing coordinators and specialists in title assignment, schedule management, database upkeep, submission errors, feedback communication, and expectation setting.
- Assist in the finding, interviewing, and onboarding of both contractors and employees for the writing & branding department, including AI training and support.
- Support the Director, Writing & Brand Management in ensuring accuracy in department finances, including auditing invoices for accurate completion.
- Create or commission sample assignments for internal or external use, edit for formatting and content, and provide feedback as necessary before providing samples to clients.
- Manage special projects and last-minute content assignments.
- Support the creation and improvement of GR0’s sales collateral, assets, and case studies.
- Support in the maintenance of the GR0 website, continually checking for errors and opportunities to improve and/or update content.
- Continuously suggest, test, and implement new technologies to improve workflows and efficiency.
- Oversee GR0’s social media growth and strategy by tracking metrics, pitching new ideas, organizing content creation, and ensuring the content calendar is implemented.
- Support GR0’s efforts to win awards and accolades via submission creative, outreach, and more.
- Provide cross-departmental branding support, including helping create branded decks and assets.
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting regarding writer and content output and updates and ongoing projects.
- Submit client and internal press releases for publication.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Ensure creation of at least 3 case studies per month
- Project manage all special projects to successful completion
- Limit SEO words moved to the next month to 5% or fewer
- Ensure at least 3 posts go live on GR0's socials per week
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3-4 years of experience in people management, content editing, project management, brand management, or another related field.
- Strong project management ability and comfortability and confidence managing many separate projects at once ranging from branding to business collateral to editorial projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as this role works closely with every department company-wide, plus a large network of freelance writers, specialists and coordinators.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to juggle many projects at once while guiding and training junior team members and contractors along the way.
- Confidence offering direction, guidance, and solutions to team members and contractors alike, as well as working with senior leadership at the company.
- Deep familiarity with Google Docs, Sheets, etc. and project management platforms like Monday.com and Notion.
- A critical eye and the ability to ensure cohesion across multiple platforms for one brand.
- In-depth knowledge of copywriting, editing, and AP Style.
